Pop Your Own Corn
Popcorn is a delicious snack which supplies dietary fiber and has only about 35 calories per cup. Microwave popcorn is convenient, but usually adds a lot of saturated fat, salt, and/or sugar, and even chemicals to the mix. By popping your own corn, you can create a scrumptious treat in a few minutes and have complete control over the ingredients you are eating.
Unpopped Gourmet Popcorn
Make Your Own Microwave Popcorn
- Place 1/4 cup of organic or gourmet popcorn in a brown lunch size paper bag.
- Fold bag over twice and secure with a couple of staples. (1 or 2 staples shouldn't effect your microwave.)
- Microwave the popcorn as usual. Add sea salt and melted butter or
olive oil if desired.
